2013 Comfort Pop-up Series
Bicycles: Guest Curated by Legacy Frameworks
On August 2, 2013, 5–10 pm, we’ll be the first in a series of Pop-Up Shops at the Comfort Station in Logan Square. Invite your friends on the Facebook event page.
Continuing Comfort Station’s role as an organization at the intersection of culture, arts and community in Chicago’s Logan Square, we would like to introduce the 2013 Comfort Pop-up Series. On the first Friday of each month, a small local vendor will guest curate a pop-up shop. These one-day installations may focus on any one of many arts-inspired themes, including fashion design, objects, printed collateral or bikes. Founded on the idea that artisans should have a platform to share their artifacts, Comfort Pop-Ups will present these talented and creative local craftsmen to the community.
Legacy Frameworks, founded in 2011 in the Bridgeport neighborhood, is committed to creating a better bicycle riding experience for any city rider. Legacy designs and builds high quality, innovative and comfortable bicycles, customized for individual urban commuters. Legacy also supports initiatives, businesses and communities that make Chicago a better place to ride. A selection of Legacy bicycles will be on display and available to test ride. Owner and Builder, Levi Borreson, will be available to answer questions.
Comfort Pop-Ups will be open on the first Friday of the month, from 5–10pm. Items displayed in the Pop-Up will be available for acquisition. Please watch the Comfort Station website for next month’s offerings.
